Mr. Meng Hieng, Chief of Executive Officer of Kids City mentioned that Kids City is willing to contribute to Science Development in Cambodia. Kids City Science has been growing and we will continue to grow with help from our main partners like Prudential, Smart Axiata and Caltex who is going to sponsor fuel in the upcoming year 2018 and responses to 3 –year project of Promoting Basic STEM Education year 2018-2020. Kids City plans to innovate the 10th Floor into STEM Workshop and experiment with cooperation from volunteers of National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC)
We started with two floors of internationally designed exhibits. Private and public schools were invited to come and learn about STEM while competing against other schools. A new dimension was added to our services. We now provide STEM tours along with the science floor tours.
This year, 2017-2018 with the help of Prudential, Kids City will organize STEM workshops with 400 STEM teachers and 2000 students in target schools in Phnom Penh and 200 key people at the provincial levels (Battambang and Siem Reap).
Here at Kids City, with the help of Prudential, we started implementing STEM Education each year, we look forward to promoting and engage more people from national to sub-national levels in Cambodia.
This will help Cambodia continue to expand and build its knowledge of STEM by helping the future generation to learn to love science.
